Access Assessments

Assessments for drivers, passengers and seating including paediatrics, postural support and powered wheelchairs

Sometimes drivers may have difficulty actually getting into or out of the vehicle, and passengers may have similar difficulties. Access assessments cover techniques and adaptations addressing the needs of drivers, passengers and carers.

Accessing vehicles is the main service either into the front seat of the vehicle or as a wheelchair/scooter user but there are some other more specialist services – a few centres even offer Tryb4uFly for those who wish to ensure that they know what specialist seating is required when taking a disabled child on a plane. Posture management and specialist paediatric seating and restraints are all a part of this service.
